It has been a long time since I have done research in this area, but what comes to mind is that girls can be as old as 16 or later and still be normal. Next time you see a dr. for some other reason, ask. Until then, don't worry. Read all you can to educate yourself. Be prepared for when it does come. Don't get caught without a pad because that can be pretty embarrassing. Until then, just enjoy! :o)

Normal. It's the epidemic of younger than 12 year olds we older people are worried about. Early puberty is epidemic due to estrogenic poisons and mimickers used in everything these days.

I didn't get mine till the summer at 14. My grandmother at 15.

Lucky us. Lucky you.

Are you a small person? I have heard that you need to weigh around 105 pounds for menstruation to begin. I'm sure it's an old wives tale.
Don't be worried.... consider yourself lucky!! You're not missing out on anything.

many girls get their periods around 12 or 13, but some get it as late as 16-18. it depends a lot on each individual and also on family history. ask your doctor if you are concerned. if you have any siblings who got their's late, you probably are right on track.

No, you're lucky you don't have to deal with that s**t. It's just a pain in the a*s*s. Try to hold it off by eating very little fat, eating only when you are starving, and exercising 2-3 hours a day.

Nope, if you are 16 without your period. Then you worry. Ask your mom when she had hers, but if you don't want to do that (which i assume)...don't worry about it.

Nah...maybe you're just a late starter. I know girls who haven't started until they were sixteen! You could ask your mom if she thinks it's something to worry about, but you don't have to, considering it's an awkward topic to mention and somewhat embarrassing. But just give it time.
