Sure you can never have to many friends

If that person came to me and asked me for help or for advice I would give to them the same advice or help that I would a friend. There are a lot of people that I come in contact with on a daily basis that I don't care for as I am sure that there are many people that feel the same way about me. However I have a respect for humankind in general and would never do something to intentionally harm another. If I saw someone being harmed, harassed or exploited I would come to their aid without even knowing their name. I don't like to see people bullied, and this has nothing to do with liking or disliking the individual. God bless.

I have been a friend for 30 years to a guy I don't like. He and his wife told me about 30 years ago that I was their best friend. Up until that point I used to avoid them both whenever I could. When they told me I was their best friend I began to think, "that is so pathetic. If I'm the best they have then these people are in a world of hurt so maybe I should be nicer to them because everybody needs a friend". Since then I've been their friend. I would never pick somebody like them to be my friend, but they picked me. Several times over the years I was able to be there to help them out in their times of need when they didn't know which way to turn with their problems. They've come back later to thank me and tell me how much they appreciate my help. It makes me feel good to know that I was able to help somebody who really needed it. It must be fate.

I tolerate some people so as not to hurt their feelings; but if a person drained my Spirit, I would not want to be their friend.
