I don't act girly to attract guys, lol. It makes me feel better and more true to myself. My personality is naturally girly; I love to shop, feel better in semi-tight jeans and softer jackets, and have a higher voice (which, btw, isn't really a choice, it just happens without you noticing). I also enjoy make-up and nail polish because they can enhance your features if used correctly. None of that is used/worn/liked by me to attract guys; it's just who I am and not acting that way would be lying to myself.

We actually talked a little bit about this in my school today for some reason. My AP Bio teacher explained that homosexuality is believed to be a genetic thing. Like, girls have the XX chromosomes, and guys have the XY chromosomes, but that homosexuals may have had a problem during the meiosis of their parents' sex cells, and ended up with XXY, so the reason that they act feminine is because they have feminine genes in them. At least, I'm pretty sure that's what she said the reason was. It was very rushed and at the end of class, so some of it might have gotten lost in translation. Also, even if she did say this, we can never be sure if this is completely true unless every gay man on earth gets a karyotype done, so we can figure out their chromosomes.

It's not that gay men try to act feminine - that's the stereotype about gay men, and it's perpetuated very widely in the media. Not all gay men are effeminate (feminine, 'act like a woman', etc.). In fact, looking at the gay population on a global scale, very few gay men are effeminate.
It's just that these types of gay men are all we have exposure to in the media, and we take this to mean this must be gay men as a whole. In actuality, it's not. The stereotype has some truth to it, (as in, somewhere in the world, there are some people who fit this description). But the majority of gay men don't "act like women". It's just that we're lead to believe that because we don't have exposure to anyone else otherwise.

Read Funny Boy by Selvadurai, Shyam.
This is not an attempt.
This is like being a girl who just wants to wear pants and climb trees. Even if she's "straight".
That's not the point.
We all exist on the continuum, somewhere between black and white. We are all grey.
Or, somewhere between left and right.
We are all a little in the middle.
If you need help understanding that idea, and many of us Westerners do, start reading Eastern philosophy. Taoism especially.
Life is not all black and white.

not ALL gay adult males are female. let's get that out of how earlier we get to the technology. There are some scientists doing study (not particular the position, someplace contained in the united kingdom although.. probable Oxbridge -eyeroll-) doing standardized sorting out of studying skills, writing skills, (emphasis on) cognitive skills and mathematic skills with 4 attempt communities; immediately adult males, immediately females, gay adult males and lesbians. What they have got here upon so a concepts is that gay adult males score consistantly in direction of immediately females and lesbians in direction of immediately adult males, indicating that their sexuality changed into maximum likely ingrained around the same time as their male/lady cognitive/logical advantages.. that signifies that their sexuality changed into formed mutually as their male or lady characteristics. which could make it completely feasable for gay adult males to act better female, with the aid of the indisputable fact that's how their personality changed into formed in sync with their sexuality. i'm not being very coherant. search for on Youtube for the BBC documentary The Making of Me. John Barrowman is the problem and as you'll see from maximum of his behaviour (that's mad and really camp, yet not female) and various the different gay adult males contained in the movie, not all gay adult males are female. a minimum of, although, it would want to be suggested that there is medical reason behind those who're. also i'd not count number a lisp as something female.

I do not know. One thing I will tell you is that not all gay men act feminine and it is not fair for you to generalize all gay men as feminine. I am gay and do not act this way.

Only about half do. Don't confuse personal representation with sexuality. You just see the effeminate gay men, you don't notice the butch (straight acting) gay guys.
There are effeminate gays, butch gays, femme lesbians and butch lesbians.

They don't act feminine, they act in ways that we as a society percieve to be feminine traits.
