Since it's obvious we are sending in 20,000 (not enough) more troops, should we hit em harder, like WWII?

We are putting prople in there like an eyedropper. Our folks die one and two at a time. Why not drop leaflets saying that if one more attack comes from this area or that, we'll level it? Give them 72 hours but level it in 48? It is a war, dammit! We should start up a draft, and use the extra troops to patrol the borders of Syria and Iran. If one incident happens, drop the leaflets on their capitals and give them 72 hours. In 48 drop another round of leaftets with photos of what our last raid did to Iraq. Die for Allah? We can arrange that. Live for a peaceful world? You'd have to prove it to us, but we could live with that too.If not, the world would be pissed at us but we'd be ensuring THEIR food supply (oil) is safe and simply take it over. How many women and children of theirs die will be up to them. Attack on us? We can now determine where WMD came from. Hit them back then. Make em all so scared, no one messes with the world cops.Too bad it's us. Nice it's not them. Peace!

Well the problem with this war is that its not like the other wars Uncle Sam's fought in. This war is an ideological war. The Muslim nations think their fighting some Holy War. According to them, dying killing a 'Kaffir' (unbeliever) Is like getting a free ticket into heaven. They perceive that the entire western world is hell bent on destroying their religion. Paranoid perhaps? Maybe.The western world on the other hand just want it all to end. Sometimes employing methods that may or may not seem too popular with these said nations probably because we don't understand their traditions and customs, etc... So when all due process fails us and war does surely but eventually ensues. We now got a thousand Osamas fighting a cause they think is bringing glory unto their God and religion. Scaring them into submission is not going to do much good. They need to realize that this isn't a Holy War and that no one is trying to destroy them. Until they get their heads out of the gutter, I'm afraid we might continue to see our people perish both on foreign and home soil.

First of all, we only have 15,000 troops in Baghdad, so 20,000
more than doubles the count, at any rate dont forget that we are
not at war with Iraq, only a handfull of insurgents that cause all
the trouble and the logic of sending more troops into Baghdad
is to muffle the fighting between Sunnis and Shiites. If we were
against Iraqis, then we would just pull out and let them kill each
other and when they run out of steam, go back in and mop up.
We lost a half million people in WWII, we couldnt win in Vietnam
and Korea. What makes you think we are invincible?

When did we start worrying more about the enemies' casualties than our own? ( rhetorical) .

And PLEASE do go into that whole--" We lost in Vietnam...". We got our butts whooped because the White House was running the show, instead of the Generals that should have been. AND.. We lost the propaganda war because of the damn media.
It's pretty obvious that the major TV channels are clearly so anti-American they could be called traitors. It's slanted so far to right, it's ridiculous!

Oh sure make the big mess all the more terrrible, comparing anything with WW11 is senseless, Iraq is a police action compared WW11, most people on here must be about 12 yrs old
