I'd like to trade it in at Gamestop. It's a fairly new slim version. I'm being offered $75 for it by a friend, is that a good deal? Or should I go to Gamestop?

to martin, honestly with all the great games coming to PS3 I'll probably hardly ever touch my PS2 games. When I get my $75 I plan to purchase Elder Scrolls IV.

Places like Gamestop and EB Games will only give you about $50 for it. So I'd suggest you give it to your friend for $75.
But why sell your PS2? It's still got a bunch of life left in it and more games will come out for it. If your plan is to get a PS3 and play PS2 games on it, I'm against it because PS2 games look crappy on the PS3. Do some research on the internet or look for the videos on youtube.com and you'll see just how bad PS2 games look on a PS3.

Your friend's deal is better than Gamestop if you are only se;;ing the console with no games. Gamestop would give you $66 for a used PS2 and $15-$25 for used games. it all depends on what you sell.

If you sell the console only, sell it to your friend. If your selling games with it, sell it to Gamestop. = )

EB games or Gamestop will probaly give you anywhere around 80-100 for it....more lucky the low end....just take it in to them...ask them how much they will give you for it.....if its more than your friends offer....trade it in to EB games or Gamestop....but you probaly will get Less then 100$ for it.....Maybe even less than what your friend has offered you
