I usually work 8am to 6pm and get home around 7pm.

unfortunately even though the money is ok this is not the job I want.
I need to use us much hours a day a can after work to draw. Which is what I want to do. Which is to become an artist.

What do you guys think is the least amount of hours an adult can sleep and still function normally during the day without feeling sleepy or drowsy.

thanks

Most medical writings say that 7 hours is minimum to be able to function in a healthy way. You may make it on less for a long time, but eventually it will catch up to you. Only you can tell if you get drowsy during the day; that is a sure sign that you need to add an hour or so to your sleep pattern.
Can you make changes in your schedule such as the weekends. When I was wanting to change careers, I worked 8-5, and then went to college 7-10PM. Then had to do homework. And take care of a son. I gave up all else, including dating, dining out, and life in general...but it was so important to me. I'd do it all over again, because the education allowed me to be where I wanted to be in life. Keep your day job, but find the time to paint; just get enough sleep so you don't end up nervous, anxious or sick. Good luck.

it truly is replaced plenty. In college, as a freshman i might want to get 3 hours and be fantastic the subsequent day, yet as I were given older i got here upon i extremely necessary a minimum of five. Now that i have graduated and gotten a fulltime pastime, i hit upon i pick a minimum of 6, yet I function way more effective useful with 8-although i'll't seem to sleep more effective than 8 hours a nighttime. My inner clock received't let me.

An Adult should have 7-8 hours sleep per night, more then that will actually make you feel like you've had even less rest. There are certain people who can work on less then 7-8 hours per night though.
