I think roses are great but people get bored with red, red, red...
have you ever seen lavender roses? (Like the ones from the movie Bed of Roses with Christian Slagter?) Well they smell amazing! There's a company called bloom depot and they guarantee their flowers for a week (so if you're not up for roses because they wilt so quickly this company is good because the stuff comes from the greenhouse)
Otherwise- go for some kind of exotic lily, like the Merostar lily. Like Sorcha said, they smell amazing.

I like ORCHIDS & TULIPS, these 2 are the next best thing to roses. I love roses, they are beautiful & romantic but they die out way to quickly. However, if you want your money's worth, you can't go wrong with Orchids or Tulips because they last longer, plus they are exotic & just as romantic as roses.

Lilys are wonderful! Smell great too =) I don't really like roses myself, prefer yellow to the generic red.
I wish my hubby would buy me some flowers =(

well roses are great, but try for colors other than red - pink, yellow are different and mean both different things. whos the flowers for? wife, girlfriend, crush?
