I'm with Jare Bare. We just moved to where 'The Great Passion Play' is located, and I have absolutely no desire to go see (yet AGAIN) the injustice of Jesus Christ being crucified. I am not stupid, and I got the picture the first time the story was exposed to me, as a child. I don't need graphic illustration, personally.
I just know my rellies are going to come barging in here for a visit and that when they do, they will be trying to make me go to that thing, and I won't. I refuse.

I watched it because I was interested in seeing Gibson's own portrayal of the Passion and it was presented more accurate than most other passion movies I had seen in the past.
I only saw it once in theatres, but since I know the story..once was enough. Very eye opening and emotionally intense.

I will never see that movie. I know how Christ suffered and it makes me cry just thinking about it. I don't need to see a graphic movie depicting it. If it brings others to God, then I guess it's a good thing.

yes but I think Mel went over the top with the violence BUT my hubby saw his new movie apocolypto ( whatever ) and he said it was extremely violent where he felt sick to his stomach but said it was good

The most hard part of the movie was when he fell carrying the cross and mary has the flashback of when jesus was a child and she ran to him to comfort him and this time she couldnt. It was heartbreaking

I actually fell asleep in the theatre.
But why do people belive Mel Gibson's version of events? He is just using his power to make people believe the same things he does. And a last year we found out what he really thought of Jews. He disgusts me.

I loved it. It was a real eye opener on my part, and it made me appreciate Jesus a whole lot more.
