Im have to do a novel project and i lost the book that i was reading so this book is a last minute thing..I just got this book today and i really dont think i can read it in two days...Here are a couple of questions i would like to know....Who is the Protagonist and Antagonist and why? Is it an internal or external conflict and why? A good theme would be helpfull too. A song that shares either the same theme, subject, or conflict, etc...all i need is the lyrics of a song, its name and band....this would help sooooo much!!!! Thanks!!!! :)

It is an autobiography if that gives you any hints as to who the protagonist is. The author, Brent Runyon shares his experiences as a young teen who tried to commit suicide. He set himself on fire. He was severely burned, but he survived. He was hospitalized for months. So the internal conflict would be him being suicidal and dealing with different emotions and depression and the whole recovery process. The external conflicts would be perhaps the physical recovery process. It wasn't an overnight recovery by any means. He learns a lot during this time.

As far as theme goes....this quote is on his site and I think it refers to his books as well as most other YA books...

"The second hardest thing to do in life is to change from a child into an adult. There are so many ways to mess up. So many ways to get lost. It's like crossing the ocean in a rowboat."--Brent Runyon

As far as songs go "The Young and the Hopeless" by Good Charlotte might work.

Or "S.O.S" also by Good Charlotte
