if you have norton internet security go in and change the firewall to high or custom so that it blocks cookies, the same should go for all other norton editions

then set your browser to "block" or "not accept cookies"

then clear your internet data by going through you browser or run disk cleanup by going: start>programs>accesories>disk cleanup and select them all

that should clear them and keep them from coming

Relax. Your hard drive is not going to melt down from going to a classical music site. Cookies can be SPYWARE AND ADWARE. Download some decent ad-and-spyware killers and be done with it. I use XOFT SPY and AD-aware.

You can't prevent the cookies from coming if you want to do anything on the Net. But, you can do a sweep on them and clean them out. Sometimes these idiot companies throw windows up that look like some kind of MS warning and they are BOGUS.

Dont be scared. That messages comes up just to scare you...and for you it REALLY is working. Tracking cookies are nutting more but the information of the websites you go to so that next time you go there things load quicker and also it helps finds things that you are lookin for faster. But do get yourself an antispyware software. Download adware and keep it updated and run it once a week or so.

Good Luck

Check for offers from your Internet provider. in my area I connect through a cable company and the offer a free security download. Not a trial version, but a complete security package anti virus, anti spam, cookie killers and the lot. For years I used AVG free on the Internet, works good. Set your security high and only allow people you want to send you e-mail. You can control pop ups and allow only on pages you trust.
