As a local disc jockey who not only does weddings but anniversary parties, let me assure you married people are much happier than single people. Studies prove married people live longer and have a lot more sex.....just my luck, always the DJ, never the bride.

yes I have!
I think that society has it all wrong.
Can you be happy and be married? YES
Can you have a great marriage? YES
Just because you have disagreements or don't see eye to eye on every issue does not mean that you are not happily married.
I love my husband and I am very happy with our marriage. I am also part of a small marrieds group at our church and there is only one couple there that is seriously struggling and describes their marriage as not "Happy".
So there you go. You now have 9 couples that are in successful, happy, and wonderful marriages.

My husband and I have been happily married for 9 months (and are looking forward to 50 years of happiness to come), adn my parents have been happily married for 26 years, and my parents-in-law have been happily married for 20 years, and my husband's grandparents have been happily married for at least 45-50 years (not exactly sure...), and I have plenty of friends who have been happily married for anywhere from a few months to several years.
Maybe the people who are so dissatisfied ith marriage and the opposite sex are just looking in the wrong places.
Don't be bitter about marriage--prove yourself wrong instead! It's a beautiful thing if you find the right person and work at it with them.

Yes, my parents and my lover's parents and grandparents are all happily married persons. Infact, I don't think I've met an unhappily married couple although I do know that all happily married couples that have been married for 20 years or more have been unhappily married at some point.

I know several happily married couples....myself and my husband included. Nothing is perfect but we work to make our marriage wonderful. I have never been happier. We have our struggles but we keep things fun and loving. We enjoy spending time with other happily married couples because we all have a common bond and again... it is fun. I love being married. This is my second marriage and there is NO comparison.

My parents are very happily married about 55 years. My wife and I are VeRy HaPPiLy MaRRiEd for over 30 years. She is the most beautiful woman I have ever met. She is no model. She is not the most brilliant person in this world. She is not the most wealthy woman either. She and I are both Christians and we have three beautiful Children. GOD has certainly blessed me in every way possible. He allowed me to work in a job that I loved for over 25 years and has given us a beautiful grandson. We are able to do things together and attend church services weekly to read, study, and obey HIS WORD. We feel that we are on track to be in heaven and spend eternity together and I am the happiest man in this world! Thank you for the question. It made me feel great. I hope that you feel this great after you are through with your day also!

Yes, my Mom & Dad. Although my Dad died in November, they were happily married for 46 yrs. In fact, my Dad proposed to her 2 days after they met. WOW! If that is not true love I do not know what is. I can tell you, they were the perfect example of what a marraige should be. They set that presedence for all 4 of their children to follow, and so far we all have. A marraige takes alot of sacrificing, communication, listening, (even when you don't want to) and lots of love. I beleive, when two people are best friends, a marraige will work. That is what they both taught us.

Well, technically I haven't met me. My wife and I have been happily married for almost 25 years. They say it won't last, and they may be right; we're only getting started. But so far so good.
