I'm a black female and my boyfriend's white, and we always get looks and stares when we're out. A few times, people have made comments like "you better be taking good care of her" to my boyfriend. I don't understand why people feel the need to make comments and stare?

Sounds like me and my wife, 30 years ago (we live in the deep south).
The best way to handle stares is to stare back. Make them back down. Most can't handle the attention.
People are insecure, often hateful, and usually stupid. Don't take it personal, just fight back - stare back, be defiant, don't give in.

Nasty looks are better than getting kneecapped as was possible 30/35 years ago. Just look back and smile.

Some people are just plain ugly and look that way all the time. Maybe they really aren't giving you nasty looks and your concious is thinking so?

its a beautiful thing but it is rear to see a black woman with a white man. Just like when it was rear to see a black man with a white women. Good luck and god bless.

Most comments come from ppl who are insecure with their own lives and beliefs and are afraid . It is best to ignore them and be secure in your own. For it is your own view that really matters.

of all the possible race combinations, white/blk or Asian/blk blk is kind of ugly, it really just looks wrong. the children of Asian/blk or white/blk are almost alien looking. I think whites or asians who go with blks have a psychological problem
