oh gods. gotta find it!! last week, my apartment slowly filled with the smell of onion. after a day or so of searching, i found that a small piece of onion had been thrown in the trash and made it to the bottom, where it quickly fermented under the other stuff that was in there. took another day just to vent the smell!!

Think most people, out of curiosity, will search to find where its coming from.
Then too - it may depend on where you notice the odor. If you are walking down the street, maybe not. But if you are driving and suddenly smell something - you probably will stop and check the car.
In your house - it probably could be a sign that when you flush the toilet something is not leaving thru the pipes.

I have to find where they are coming from. With two young boys I sniff around for a smell more often than I care to.

I generally have to find out where they are coming from. It drives me crazy until I know. Especially if the odors are unpleasant......

If it smells like rotten eggs you should leave your home immeadiately, dont even call 9-11 (it could set off a spark)
Call 9-11 when you get across the street.

i HAVE to find it.... like the other day ago there was this horrible smell coming from somewhere near my locker, but i knew it wasnt mine. so after school me and my friends went and opened another locker that you could smell it by and there was rotten food like 3 or 4 weeks old in it. we got pretty mad cuz it was stinking up the whole hall so we told the girl that owned it to clean it out.... but she still hasnt... i dont know what her problem is.... it's disgusting

My sense of smell is my worst sense. If I do notice a smell, I really don't care unless it's in my living space and it's worth attending to.

I HAVE to know where the smell is coming from ... and of course... get RID of it... :o) (If it smells bad)
If it smells good I usually eat it.... unless it's people... that's against the law.
