Hip hop is kinda dead but I'mma roll wit u when u say Lil'Wayne. I think the only good ones is Lil'Wayne, Jeezy, Cassidy, Ludacris, and Eminem but I feel u when u say that they sing about food, it is ridiculous. U got good taste when it comes to rap.

Hip hop is still a thriving culture in many parts of the U.S. It's not going to die out anytime soon...that's just how Nas feels. Wherever you go you'll find someone emulating the hip hop culture. I've been to a lot of "redneck" areas of the U.S. and those farmers there raising cows and stuff like that have sons who listen to rap music and wear baggy clothes, etc lol

It is stupid that they sing about foods. I live Yung Joc, Rick Ross, Lil' Wayne, Young Jeezy, etc. Hip hop is almost dead. It is barely alive. It's slowly dying.

i've never been into hip-hop but its taking over thw world, it has no feeling anymore, it was better when they were actually writing songs that mattered, like "where is the love" but the black eyed peas

and i do like the superchicks-we live, we love

but like i said, i never really liked hip-hop but the quality is going right down the drain with punk rock...which i actually like

WHEN IT STARTED OUT, THERE WAS SMURF ROCK AND THE CABBAGE PATCH DANCE. BUT THOSE WERE FUN SONGS. NOW I HATE RAP. IT'S DUMBED-DOWN MUSIC AND IT'S BARBARIC IN MANY WAYS, BUT RAP WILL LAST FOREVER BECAUSE RAP MUSIC FANS BUY LOTS OF RECORDS. IT MAY BE THAT SIMPLE. THE TOP 10 RECORDS IN SALES ARE ALL RAP RECORDS.

you might not like my answer........ i can only wish it were dead, but it is still played, new and old alike. The "lyrics" have never really made much sense to me.
