What properties button are you referring to?
If you're using Windows, and you want to see the properties of a file, Double-Click on My Computer, navigate to the file in question, and right-click on it. A small window will open up with several choices, select properties.

Right click on the file and 'Properties' will be at the bottom of the context menu
Alternative Method:
Select the file, go to files and 'Properties' should be near the bottom.

What do you mean? You could simple do a right click on anything and at the bottom there is properties. But you have to specify what it is you are lookin for exactly.

If your talking about Visual Basic 6.0, You can click to view code or object, and click object. Sometimes the properities window will automatically pop up. if not just press F4. I assume that is what your talking about since the question is in Programmin & Design.
