If I'm reading your notation correctly, I get 9.5.

Or perhaps I get 8/3.

Hard to tell. Can you do more with the parentheses?

assuming the problem looks like this: (4- (-3)+1) / (2- 2/-2) we get 8/ (2+1) which gives us 8/3. hope this helps
