Does Al Elric have high physical strength?
I mean look at how giant he is, just how strong is he? Can he lift up a tree.
Tell me on the scale of 1 to 10 1 being normal human strenght and 10 being superman strenght.

I would say a 10, since Al got transmuted into the suit of armor he's been able to lift heavier things and be like a bullet proof shield etc.
One of Al's weaknesses while in the suit of armor oppose to being a human is he can't go in water (with out the Philosophers stone of course, he can't, but with it he can) If Al goes in water the transmutation circle will wash away.

Probably a 3 or 4. Izumi tossed him around like a rag doll. He is pretty strong as he is Metal and has no bones or ligaments to break. However he is only as strong as the medal he is made of and personal effort.
It is true that, as shown in the Anime, he must stay out of water unless he has a stone in him. Oddly enough an early episode of the Anime made the mistake of showing him playing in a river as the suit of armor without his philosopher stone. Whoooops.

7, i think that someone could just preform alchemy on the circle that binds him to the suit of armor, and kill him, so he's not SUPER MAN strength
