this is a very hard topic i did this in my econ class last year and there is not a whole lot u can cut with out making a large amout of people angery. It is easy to think what u dont like a bout the government and change it but think in the place of a politition that has to make choices and take the heat for it. Because the government spends money for things for the most part that are vital.

no doubt they are looking and taking notes...i'd first cut pay to all elected officials (those i didn't just drag out and hang) then i'd cut all the pork projects, and earmarks. then i'd fire every white house adviser straight across the board. i'd put a stop to the spending in the middle east iraq included (bring 'em home)...i'd put a stop to illegals draining social security.
i'd take all the money an ration it out to a very different crowd that's getting it now, that's for sure...then maybe something constructive could be done in education and infrastructure.

Spending on the military, I would cut the forces down and build small striking forces and put some of the money saved into true defence, weapons to keep us safe, without an occupation force.

it is estimated that illegal immigrants used $4.7 billion from medicare last year and it is expected to go up over 60% this year. I would say that's a nice place to start.

Welfare to people who dont need it or dont deserve it..
Spending the money to have cops arrest people but not follow through with the case, people not getting prosecuting, etc.

Of course they won't listen, but we need to cut some of the entitlements such as welfare and social assistance for illegal aliens.
