I am not sure if this applies in Florida, but in my state you can work at 14 for a minimal amount of hours.
The only place I know here that hires at age 14 is McDonald's, and the newspaper. You can always do things like yard work, pool work, baby sitting, running errands, cleaning houses.

Here are a few ideas. It depends on what kinds of skills you have. Keep in mind that legally, at your age, the only kind of work you can do is "independent contractor work". Think essentially like you running your own businesses, people pay you to do something and you do it. Examples:
* Babysitting.
* Doing odd jobs for people, yard work, gardening, etc.
* Tutoring (have anything you're smart at?)
* Fixing computers (this may not be your cup of tea but I did it at your age, for money sometimes)
* Making anything you can sell. Can you think of anything that you know how to make and sell for a reasonable price? Are you good at sewing? Do you know how to repair or fix anything?
* Buying and Selling or Trading in things. You can use ebay (you could even use your parents account if they have one) and sell on the internet even. This is only if there's something you'd be able to buy and sell in and make money--i'm often able to do it with books because I find them being given away and grab ones that I think I can sell online.
Think. Find something you're good at.
Decide what you want to do--something you would be good at, and start advertising. Make up a little flyer on your computer or something that you can hand out to adults you know. Try to get your parents to help you--the best way to get these sorts of odd jobs is through word of mouth.
The only official sorts of jobs you could have are ones where you're an independent contractor, like having a paper route (I had one at age 13 and kept it for 6 years). But nowadays they're not giving these out to younger teens quite as much. You can also sometimes get jobs selling things but I would recommend AGAINST these. There can be more risk (investment of time and maybe money) and they can be more difficult, and some of them can be scams.

You may also look out for an option to work online to make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit
http://ommc.blogspot.com
I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)

Talk to your school's guidance counselor's office. I worked through high school with job leads called in from local employers. Also, consider your own business (see parents) in which you'll make more money working for yourself than for someone else. Whether you want to teach computers or tutor younger kids in english or math, design websites, sell products for local stores online, or make jewelry or other crafts, you CAN get your own business up and running. Check your local library for books that relate to teens and business. Check out Junior Achievement (link below):

At your age? Don't expect much. You have likely little to no experience, and you are too much of a liability to do work that could potentially hurt you.
You could try stores in the mall or fast food. Those are your best bets.
