Life is not a sprint, but a marathon. I've made more than my fair share of mistakes, but am still on pace for my ultimate destination. I would not trade my current spot in life for anything in the world.

Yes. absolutely. Because as time goes by, I realize more and more than I am not always or perhaps never the best judge of what is best for me and mine.
Of course we will never know what would have happened if we had taken a different course. As so beautifully described in Robert Frost's poem: "The Road Not Taken".

I had to travel the world (literally) only to come back home, get a new place and start my life over again. In doing this, I found my dream job and my dream girl. Both of which I am going to have and love the rest of my life.

quite. yes...very good and interesting question, deserves a very long and detailed answer...but we cannot do that here...56 years of experience and i find that i am content with life, though...that would be the bottom line.
