I really need help for my project becuase i tried to put a orange gold fish to live in the dark but it was not interesting so can you help me choose a good experiment with goldfishes.(I'm all set with the tank and fishes.)

Bye too different types of feed and see if you can see a difference in health and appearence after a set amount of time.

Try training fish and maybe try re-proving the fish theory of how long fish memory lasts.

You can train them to do tricks. There is even a kit you can buy where you teach them to swim through a hoop, or mouth a little soccer ball into a little net.

feed one gold fish too little and feed another gold fish too much, or try useing diffrent types of food for them see which one works better.

Why don't you try breeding? A male and female of different origins and color and see what you come up with? I have bread chocolates with whites and got chocolate chips....etc

You can check how their breathing rate is affected by the temperature of the water. You'll have to have two tanks though.
