Im in 8th grade, and a lot of ppl wear brand name clothes, including me (Aero, AE). Anyways, i was wondering if ppl really care where u get ur clothes from? Does it make ppl approach u more, better first impression, or anything else u can think of?

Yeah i do not in a mean way though. I wear brand names but you can just tell what people wear its who they are.I don't make fun of anyway who doesn't wear abercrombie, hollister,ae,aero. Its who you want to be it doesn't matter what the other people say.

It's true people judge you on what you wear because that is human nature. We judge on what we see. Don't feel like you have to impress people by buying expensive clothes. You can buy things that look just like the designer clothes and still look good. Don't follow the leader just because everyone else is. Sometimes you have to become your own leader. Who cares what brand clothing you have on as long as you love what you wear.

At your age you don't need to worry about how you dress but when you enter the real world it will be vital to how you succeed.
By the time you become a senior in high school you're gonna be thinking about wanting to get out that you won't even care what you look like.

Some people like to judge you on the clothes you wear. I don't really care though. I think it's better to have your own style and wear what you like and feel comfortable in. aero and ae ar ok I think but I won't wear them just because everyone else is. I do like to wear brand names nut I don't worry too much about them. If you look decent people won't really care what you're wearing. If you like to a different style of clothing from everyone else that just wear what you want. It's good to be different. I sometimes buy clothes from thrift stores but you wouldn't know that if you saw me wearing them. The one thing I know gives a bad impression is if you dress like a total weirdo or a thug... Don't worry about impressing people with your clothes. Since you're going to school, just wear things you feel comfortable in as long as you don't look like an idiot. You can be the judge of that.

Unfortunately, people do judge you on your appearance, but I don't think it has so much to do with the brands you wear. I think it is more important to choose clothes that fit your body and your style. A lot of processing happens during a first impression, and since people don't know much about your personality since they have only talked to you for a few minutes, appearance is going to play a large role. Don't focus so much on that though. I'm just giving you the truth. A true friend accepts you for who you are. Be proud!

yes they do, but the also judge by what it LOOKS like. i know that i dont wear a lot of name brand clothing all the time, i do have some, but some isnt name brand but looks cute. ppl like that too. in order to be in the "popular" crowd though, hollister and abercrombie and fitch and stuff like that is definitely how they judge you. personally, i dont care for a lot of the name brand stuff, because though the quality is pretty good compared to the stuff at tj maxx, its a lot more expensive. i buy it all on sale. lol. if your worried about good first impressions, you have to have confidence first, and just have a good sense of style, more than a certain brand. : )

I am in eighth grade too! I wear brand names like Abercrombie and Hollister. The only reason I wear them is because I like them. I think they are cute. Some people judge you on the clothes you wear and may approach you because you are wearing brand names - but you don't want to be friends with stuck-up people like that! Friends are people who like you for who you are and people you can trust. Would you rather have friends that would exclude you because you were wearing a shirt from Wal-Mart one day, or would you rather have friends that like you, even if you made your own clothes out of fabric? Name brands don't make a friendship. I hope my advice helped!

A lot of people freak out about making sure they only wear big brand names but as long as your clothes flatter your body and look good, you should be able to make a perfectly good first impression and people (at least people worth associating with) wont really think twice about whaere your clothes came from. They just have to look neat and put together

At first, i thought clothes were everything and that it was all that people thought of. But I started to realize that people actually really don't care (i can only say that for some!) so i just stopped buying so many designer brands. i still dress good, but now, i dress like myself and i don't worry what people will think anymore. it's always good too look good but not to the point where it takes you an hour to get dress (like it did for me!). i save a lot of time in the morning now!

Ppl that care more about the brand name on your a** than whats inside of you aren't worth worrying about my dear! I couldn't give a rats a** less WHAT brand somweone wears! I think that is soooo ignorant, so be proud of WHO you are and don't let anyone make you feel less worthy if you don't have an Ambercrombie label on your a**! We come into this world naked & God thinks we're beautiful just the way he made us! If we're good enough for Him, we should be good enough for each other ;-) Be YOURSELF in whatever you wear(or don't wear)...lol

No! Just be in good taste! Stylish can be accomplished on all levels of income. It isn't necessary to pay for a "brand name" That is all hype and oh soooo shallow! It's for people who don't have a clue what good causes that excess expense could go to!! Or what they could buy for an overall balanced good lifestyle instead of all the focus on BRAND NAMES, I mean just think about it for a minute.
