There where 2 prototypes build of it and there where sent to the Russia in mid 1942 . One went to the 521 schere panzerjaeger abteilung and the other one went to the 2 panzer division in july 1942. This one is is destroyed in battle. The one of the 521 is recuperated by the Russian army in Stalingrad with 22 kill rings round the barrel and is today in the museum of Kubinka.
The development is ended in favor of the Tiger.

Well, technically it wasn't a "tank", but a tank destroyer/SP gun.The Sfl L/61 had a 10.5cm gun. Two prototype vehicles were issued to the 523 Panzerjager abteilung for a proposed invasion of Gibraltar. One blew up due to an ammo issue, the other was sent to the Eastern Front. I can find at least one instance of it being used in 1941.
The Maus had a 128mm L/61. Both prototypes were in fact deployed south of Berlin in 1945. Only one had a fully functioning turret, though. The other just had the 20mm coax.
