How do you convince the electric board that I don't know how the earth wire linking up my meter got there. It's outside anyone could have done it.

what you did is definetly fraud, not to mention extrodinairly dangerous!! Youre lucky you didn't get killed. Probably wont be so lucky with the electric board.

P.S. please dont mess wit hyour gas meter, in the case of the electric meter, worst case you burn down your house. With the gas meter, you could blow up your house as well as the neighbors

The onus of proof is on them. As an LEB electrician I came upon all sorts of links and by-passes, but to be honest I wasn't as sanctimonious as that electricity employee, and never grassed on anybody.Get the starch out of your knickers girl.

errrmmmm excuse me BUT its your responsibility that the outside connection has been made to YOUR house, have you not noticed that your bills have been too low (that is if you really did not have anything to do with it). You are more than likely going to be prosecuted....its FRAUD
