When I was togther with my ex boyfriend who was latino, whenever when we would go out amny white women were making remarks about us and giving us stares. I don't understnad this at all and they were telling my boyfriend should date a white woman instead.

First, if you're self concious about people staring at you, you will subconciously attract stares. It's rotten that they told you your boyfriend should date a white woman, love shouldn't have a color. I think most white women that I know wouldn't care who you date, latino, black, white, eskimo. We just wouldn't care. So, please, remember not all white women are racist.
The next time you're being stared at by someone, and you are sure (make sure your sure) that it's because of the color difference between you and your mate, give them a big smile and a wave. Don't return the hate. Always take the high road, it will put a wrench in their reasoning for their hatred.
Either way, you did not deserve the responses you got. Let it make you stronger, more confident in your choices, and let it fuel your desire to change people's stereotypes. You are woman! Let them know that.

Ignorance comes in all shapes, sizes and colors. IF they were not ignorant, then they were probably jealous that you two were in love and they weren't and wanted to be you.
