BE Very careful with this question. Tire pressures listed on the sidewall of tires sold in the US usually have only a "MAXIMUM TIRE PRESSURE" listed. Maximum pressures on most tires are usually between 45 and 50 psi. The correct pressure to use with the special tires that come on AMG cars should be listed on the driver's door jam: typically 32-34 psi. Usually there are some variations in recommended pressures dependent on the loading and number of passengers. The intent is to get the tire to make correct contact with the road surface so that the sides of the tread and center of the tread loading are about equal. Too high a tire pressure will wear out the center of the tread. Too low a tire pressure will wear both the inside and outside of the tire tread. Incorrect wheel alignment will usually wear only the inside or outside of the front tire treads.
