I can sit there all day and pick them off, but what a pain! If I use the shaver, holes eventually appear. The lint roller only picks up a few. What to do? Duct tape?

try an electronic lint shaver, that really helps

pick up a Bic razor, and use that, just run it along the area that has all the little balls, it will take them off and not ruin the shirt, just don't press SUPER hard. Nice even strokes.
