I’m confused; you say the “fluid spilled” on you. Propane liquid is stored under pressure. The instant the liquid is exposed to the atmosphere it turns to vapor. Since the boiling point of propane is -44 degrees F., this means if you spilled liquid propane on your hand it would have been below -44 degrees causing instant frost burn to the skin. Now if you were dealing with a depressurized / devalved tank and you spilled a liquid from the tank on your hands that liquid was actually what is commonly revered to as “Heavy Ends”. It is impurities in the propane that build up in the bottom of propane tanks and cylinders. These heavy ends become saturated with ethyl mercaptan and are virtually impossible to get this off of skin or clothing that comes in contact with it.

At any rate here is what we use in the industry. Take a plastic bowl, pour in about an inch and a half of hydrogen peroxide. Add a large scoop full of baking soda, and then add three or four tablespoons full of dish soap. Soak and scrub the area in this mixture. You will need to soak and scrub the area several times before the odor is gone. If the odor persists, use any heavy hand lotion. Let the lotion soak into the area for 15 to 20 minutes then wash is with any of the degreasing type hand cleaners. You will need to repeat this as well until the odor is gone.

Tooth paste, wash your hands with tooth past, bleach works, Gasoline dissolves ANYTHING, it's just too volatile to use inside, wipe down hands outside with a rag and gasoline, use "Go JO" hand cleaner, then tooth paste, dry hands in rag without using water, rinse in about 20 minutes, this way the "TOOTH PASTE" will absorb into the skin, where the "Skunk Oil" that you spilled on yourself is.

Wash them, and wash them, and become them. The oil from propane will circulate into your pores. attempt applying very heat water once you wash your palms. it ought to take a pair of days for the scent to circulate away. sturdy good fortune and happy washing.

Try a hand clean with orange cleaner in it, like Go Jo. There are several others and they do pretty well at removing oders and making you smell like oranges.
