Depends on what you like. City or country. North of El Paso are mountains. The hill country around Austin / San Antonio are pretty nice spots for lots of scenery outdoors. Cities above & Dallas, Ft. Worth and Houston for night life & activities about the city. You might also try the pines along the Louisiana border. Texas is actually rich in history and there are a lot of locations throughout the state to tour.
