Take Advil and Tylenol, alternating every 3 hours. Here's an example time schedule:
Let's say you take advil at 8:00 am
8:00 am: 2 advil
3 hours later
11:00 am: 2 tylenol
3 hours later
2:00 pm: 2 advil
3 hours later
5:00 pm: 2 tylenol
3 hours later
8:00 pm: 2 advil
and so on till you go to bed. Thats what I do and it helps a TON. Also, you should make sure to get enough iron (there's a lot in cream of wheat, I think) since you lose a lot during your period. A hotwater bottle also should help, and just laying down. Actually, I think you might want 2 walk around a little to keep your muscles from getting cold and clenching up.
Hope I could help!

I used to have really bad cramps. The doc prescribed NAPROXIN and I needed them when I had my "crumpets" (that is what my sisters & I call them). I needed them to be able to function properly at work.
I no longer get cramps because I had a hysterectomy 6 months ago. I learned that I was getting the bad cramps, among other monthly problems, because I had a very large fibroid.
You should go to the doctors and have a thorough exam. I would request the Naproxins, they were a real life saver for me.
I forgot to mention that I would strongly reccommend that you do NOT go on the birth control pill as it truely does cause blood clots. I had one of them too many years ago and it came from the pill. Stay away from the pill if you can. Oh, if it matters, I am 42 years old.

The only ways I know of getting rid of cramps is using a heating pad and placing it over your stomach and taking two asprin or tylenol for the bloating. You could also try Midol at the drugstore it releaves all your symptoms during a menstrual cycle.Good luck. Don't drink water because sometimes that adds to the factor of feeling bloated.

take two aleve...the bottle says only one, but two are fine during cramping ... every 8 hours. Get a heating pad....you can't live without that....they help sooooo much. If you can't lay down with the heating pad...there are these little pads you can buy that stick to the inside of you underwear at your tummy. They get very warm. I wish they had made them when I was having a period. I have used them some in the past and they are wonderful. Walmart has them. Just ask if you can't find them. I think they are on the bottom shelf where the Tylenol are. Hope this helps......

This was on oprah yesterday.
I believe the obgyn said motrin, not midol.
Hot water bags...you've tried that.
The only thing that worked for me was a low dosage birth control pill.

I find that pressure and heat help me - i wrap a big woolen scarf tightly around my tummy! Also they are some alternative remedies out there - try a homeopathy site or book an appointment with a homeopath (or try going into your local 'Neals Yard').
Walking with a friend can help - its gentle exercise and there's someone to take your mind of it!

get on the pill, it works wonders.
As for right now, you´ve tried pretty much everything i´d try. Also, stay off caffeine and soy products. Good luck.
