How do I make my HP OfficeJet 6210 a network printer in my house? I have 2 PCs but only one printer. How can I make it all work without spending any money?

Just go to the computer where the Printer is physically connected, right click on the printer you want to "network" and click sharing, share the printer over the peer to peer network just like you would a drive.

assuming both machines use XP:

network the two machines together. Windows has a network setup wizard in Control Panel. Run it on both machines and they should be able to talk to each other. Of course, you'll need to reboot them.

Then, on the machine that has the printer, navigate to the properties of the printer, and on the Sharing tab, select "Share this printer". Give it a name. Then on the other machine, add the printer. I think you need to have the driver software installed on both machines, but I'm not sure - it might install the driver automatically when you add the networked printer. That should be it.

Go to Control Panel, Click on Printers & Fax, Right Click on your Printer and then Click on SHARING, Click on "Share this Printer"

On the computer that you do not have the printer connected to Install the printer's Driver
