If you keep this up, you will certainly be able to get into an excellent university. Taking AP courses in your senior year should actually increase your GPA.

The real question is -- will you get into a great university. Looking at the very top schools, you will see that 75% of those accepted are in the top 10% of their class and 75% have SAT scores of 2100 or higher.

Your curent grades put you at that 75% mark -- but they are good enough, and taking AP classes will move you up.

If your SAT percentile is the same as your PSAT percentile -- it may be a stumbling block for some top schools. Improve them and keep everything else constant, and you can go almost anywhere.

I agree that you should start taking AP classes if you are able, and you should work on getting your PSAT score up and your SAT score up after that. Depending on the caliber of school you're interested in, you may also need 3 SAT Subject Tests, so you should look into that. Meaning, look at some of the schools of interest, see if they require SAT Subject Tests, and if they do, plan our which ones to take when (with your school's college counselor.) Typically, they say to take the Subject Test at the end of the year in which you are taking the subject, but of course it isn't that "clean" when it comes to foreign language or math, which span several years.

I imagine a broad array of schools will be available to you, but I wouldn't count on the very top ones. They are difficult to get into for people with much higher/impeccable credentials.

A LOT of places lol. Great Job! I have a 3.7 weighted lol. Its more about SAT scores though. GPA's are not the only areas colleges review.
