No because the numbers are also due to strength of the other teams in the schedule.. Florida and LSU for example played a few teams that made the bowl games.. Most of the teams Boise played were lower mark teams in the polls... I'm glad to see the numbers they got for going undefeated but say let Boise St. play in the SEC and see what real hell is like.

If you think Boise State deserves 1/2 of the national championship, you dont know anything about college football and your smoking crack. If boise state played floridas schedule they would be 7-5...if florida played boise states schedule..12-0 all blowouts..I like boise state..they played an "ok" oklahoma team and Im glad they won,,,barely..But if boise state was in the SEC..they would be in the ghetto bowl..Lets see boise state at least beat rutgers and ohio state..then we will talk them even being on floridas schedule.....

Never, USC was an embarassment claiming they got half of it that year. The BCS system is messed up, but splitting championships is just a shame to the colleges and the sport itself.

In all honesty, taking down Oklahoma isn't that great..they barely won and OU only made it there because Texas shot themselves in the foot...Boise did good though, and they may yet create a playoff system.

Well that's exactly the reason why NCAAF needs a playoff, I don't think so though because they are not in a BCS Bowl conference. Boise state did get one first place vote in the final AP Rankings.

Not with their schedule. They deserve what they got and that was being ranked #5. Any of the top 20 team in the country with their schedule goes undefeated.

They deserved to play Ohio State, because the way OSU played last night, they would have had a pretty god chance of beating them. NCAA needs a playoff system. This ranking system is just retarded. Big Ten needs a tougher schedule.

Yes, I was very disappointed to find out that only one AP writer voted them #1. They have the best record - you can't tell me they're not the best. Maybe some team is better but you can't prove it unless they meet on the field.
