what does that form?
i think it makes H2SO3+CaO?
which breaks down to H2O+SO2+CaO?
so the overall equation is
SO2+Ca(OH)2--->H2O+SO2+CaO
is this correct?
it doesnt have to be balanced.

First the OH- reacts with SO2 to make HSO3-, which dissolves into SO3 2- ion. The product should be CaSO3 + H20 (calcium sulfite)
