It is possible, however at 18 weeks, your uterus is not that highup yet...therefore the baby isnt able to kick you there. Most women feel the first movements down low in their abdomen...between your hip bones, or on your sides low.

You may just be feeling your organs repositioning inside to accomidate your growing uterus.

I am a firt time mom as well, and I felt the baby move first when I was about 18 weeks or so. It was very low and it felt like gas bubbles....but I never had to pass gas or burp...then during an ultrasound, I felt the feeling nad saw the baby move at teh same time, so thats when I realized that I really WAS feeling the baby move.

Good luck and congrats!

It probably is. My baby had been kicking for a good month or so, before I finally figured out that the weird feeling was here. It felt like how my stomach feels when I get nervous, so I didn't tell anyone thinking I was imagining things. Enjoy it! You're actually feeling a bit earlier than most first time moms do.

Sounds like it. Enjoy the kicks while they are exciting in the beginning...they are wonderful throughout pregnancy--except when the kick wakes you up in the middle of the night! (Okay, that's not so bad, it's their only way of communicating and saying, hey, I'm doing good!)

Congratulations! You're feeling your baby dancing for the first time!

My advice? Lay back, put your hand on your belly and enjoy!

Most likely, yes! Apparently, your little one likes your rib cage!

It could be or it could be gas. If it's kicking you won't fart shortly afterwards. I thought I felt my baby kicking several times....turned out to be gas. :)
