Well, to find an equivalent fraction, you either multiply the fraction or divide it. Like this:
Let's take 7/14. Well, what number is 7 and 14 divisible by? Answer is 7. So you divide 7 by 7 making it 1. And you divide 14 by 7 making it 2. so, you have 1/2. That is an equivalent fraction since, you divided both numbers by the same number.
Another way,to find equivalent fractions is to multiply be the same number.Like 7/14. You can multiply it by 2. So, you multiply 7 by 2 (14), and 14 by 2 (28). So, your new fraction is 14/28. You can keep on multiplying like that until you have enough.
Hope this helped.

Calm down. This can be easy, so just relax.

Pick a number, any number. Let's pretend you picked 3. Okay now multiply the 7 by 3 (21) and multiply the 14 by the same 3 (42). So, your first equivalent fraction is 21 over 42.

Now, let's do it again. Pick a number, any other number. Let's pretend you picked 5. Okay now multiply the 7 by that 5 (35) and multiply the 14 by that same 5 (70). So, now you have your second equivalent fraction which is 35 over 70.

Now take a deep breath and live to see another day (and probably another math problem!).

1/2 or 14/28 or 21/42
equivalent fractions are basically the same thing when simplified completely.
Like in your example, 7/14 simplest form is 1/2 so everything that can equal to 1/2 is an equivalent fraction to 7/14 like the above numbers in the first line

Equivilent fractions are fractions that are equal.

7/14 would be the same thing as 1/2, or 14/28.

Look at the numbers 7 and 14--they can both be divided by 7. Divide them both by 7 and get 1/2.

You can also multiply them by the same number. Multiply them both by two and get 14/28. By 3? 21/42.

basically, to get equivalent fractions you have to multiply or divide the denominator (bottom part of fraction) and numerator (top part of fraction) by the same number.

ex. 7 over 14 -- if you divide 7 and 14 by 2, u get 1 over 7, this is one equivalent fraction.

if you multiple 7 and 14 by 2 you get 14 over 28, this is another equivalent fraction.

sorry if this was confusing at all. good luck!!!
