Well, not so much a death scene as a torture scene: When that guy gets his ear chopped off in Resevoir Dogs. That was pretty bad.
Also, just about every death scene in the Final Destination movies. The one in the third one where those girls get burned to death in a tanning bed is like two of my worst nightmares combined in one death.

I don't go to tanning beds. I can't stand being shut up like that.

Not sure about violent as in gory, but violent as in sudden would probably be Brad Pitt getting bounced off a couple of vehicles at the start of "Meet Joe Black".

In "Big Trouble In Little China" the Storm named "Thunder" gathers his chi... and can't stop... until he swells up in a hi-larious fake B-movie way and POP!

Okay, really it was the scene of Santino getting killed at the tollbooth on the Jersey turnpike in The Godfather. But I do like the "Big Trouble..." scene.

The lawyer on the toilet in Jurassic Park, who gets eaten by the T-Rex.
Classic!
You even hear the bones crunching as the T-Rex shakes him from side to side.
