What is a good history thesis topic for American History?

I am in an Advanced Placement History Class and need help finding a good thesis topic. I would like it to be interesting, but also able to have lots of sources. the time period ranges from 1670-Present. My ideas so far have been on Political Science and American Mythology (Fiction vs. Reality).

Here are a few ideas:

Compare and contrast the forced relocation and annihilation of Native Americans to the forced relocation and annihilation of Jews, Gypsies, Intellectuals and homosexuals by the Nazis.

Explain why George Bush owes the French an apology because they were right about going into Iraq.

Explain why the Civil Rights movement owes so much to Hubert Humphrey for forcing civil rights onto the Democratic platform at the 1948 convention (in case you have never heard it -- his speech was incredibly moving).

Explain how WWII changed the role of women in America.

Explain why the isolationist policy of Republicans kept the US from joining the League of Nations and delayed the rebuilding of Europe after WWI.

If you are interested in fiction vs reality -- look at people like Custer or Frank & Jesse James.
