That was Carl Perkins' rockabilly "Honey Don't" which Ringo certainly does justice to. If you want to see a touching video clip from the Concert for George, take a look at this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aka4LiLveME
It has Ringo singing his song "Photograph" in honor of George. I couldn't sing along with it because the part that goes "I realize you're not coming back anymore" got me all choked up. I've got tears in my eyes right now. Anyway, after that Ringo sings "Honey Don't" with Eric Clapton and a lot of other folks. It is a good clip. (sniff)

I hate you... (Grin)
This was an adventure!
I read your question, and couldn't remember the answer, but I did vaguely remember that line from Ringo.
I passed up your question, shut the computer down, went into the kitchen and started doing the dishes and general cleaning.
Three hours later I'm talking to a buddy of mine on the phone, "Hey, you remember a beatles song? Ringo's singing..."
LOL
I just could not remember that song!
I literally went back to my computer, looked at my music file, and of course, I hadn't listened to any Beatles songs in awhile, so I had to spend 45 minutes listening to the Beatles. Then I thought...
"Aha! I have my beatles collection. So from here I went through my beatles albums, and found "Act Naturally." I really thought that was the song, so I dusted off the ol' record player, and discovered that was not the song.
Now this was making me crazy! "What the hell was that song!"
I surfed the net and came up with a few other ideas, and realized I didn't have them downloaded. So I went to my E-mule program and began illegally down... Uh, I mean I went to I tunes... Yeah, that's it! I went to I tunes and legally purchased the songs.
Now I can tell you with complete certainty that's it not the No No song...
It's off the Beatles '65 album and it's called Honey Don't!!!!!!
And what Ringo actually says is, "Aww... Rock on George, one time for me..."
This was fun, thanks!
Oh, and one other thing. You are right, it's a cover of an old rockabilly tune by Carl Perkins, from around 1956.

I agree, I like his voice too but he didn't sing any of the songs on Let It Be. He hasn't sung on any of the songs from A Hard Day's Night or Magical Mystery Tour either, but he has on the rest :)
