It means factorial. To do it, you multiply the number by each number that comes before it on the interval [1,n) where n is the number.
Ex. 5!=5*4*3*2*1=120

Factorial. For the integer 4 for example

4! = 1*2*3*4 = 24

By definition 0! = 1.

Factorials do not apply to negative numbers.

'Factorial' means to multiply n(n-1)(n-2)...(1).

So 5! = 5(4)(3)(2)(1) = 120

10! would be 10x9x8x7x6x5x4x3x2x1 which would be 3,628,800
