Years ago I tried one of those electric razor-types of de-pillers, but it did not work properly. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to de-pill a sweater? Thanks.

If your electric de-piller shaver didn't work well then your blades were probably dull. Get a large oversized one (I think I got mine from Carol Wright Gifts) as it works really really well. In the future, hand wash or wash separately and hang to dry.

Use a disposable razor, carefully. Just a word of advice though, it will weaken spots on your sweater if used too frequently. Wash the sweater in-side-out to reduce pill-ups too, once you have them removed.

Try using a Lewis N Clark sweater brush. I have found them where they sell travel supplies. If you can't find them locally here is their web site:
www.lewisnclark.com - #750 sweater and lint brush.

I still then follow it up with using a fabric shaver with success.

Here is an article that might help you:

Good luck.

I have used a disposable razor---very carefully---and then used a lint brush or scotch tape to remove the pills.

You can get a little tool called a de-fuzz-it and they have a handle and ypu run the wirey part across the sweater. You can ge these anywhere they sell lint rollers and stuff.

I think they have brushes for that. They use to use a comb. Slow job.
