What is your number one pet peeve about male behavior?

Just curious. What really annoys you about men in general? Or if you want to keep it positive, what do you really like about men in general? Or both.

Yes, I would have to agree - the fact that men don't seem to listen is quite annoying. I can't blame them all time. I do agree that some women do babble endlessly and it's hard not to tune out. But when someone important in your life is talking to you (e.g. wife, girlfriend. Heck, even your mom) the least you can do is pay her some attention. Girls may not even agree with what you say but at least they listen. It's quite annoying when you're talking to a guy and mid-sentence he gets a blank expression on his face and you know he's stopped listen.


On the positive side, I really like that men tend to be more to the point then women. For example:

You ask a guy friend how this shirt suits you and any respectable man will tell you straight out "I like it" or "I've seen you wear better things."

You ask a girl friend? Half the time she gets worried about hurting your feelings so you get very vague answers. "Well, I suppose if you added this necklace and those earrings and put some lipstick on, you would look good!" I mean, that's very nice but I was asking about the SHIRT.

Of course, generalizations like this are just that - generalizations. They can by no means apply to every person.

But in general, this is what I have found to be true.

What really annoys me about men in general is that they aren't mind readers! I mean c'mon, they should know we wanted the non fat sugar free caramel triple skinny latte and NOT the half fat less sweet vanilla double mocha! Sheesh! Do we have to spell it out for them? And don't get me started on the toilet seat!

On the plus side, they do come in handy for making babies! I haven't heard of a science lab yet that has engineered sperm.

Now on the more serious side, no one is perfect and we all have our own neurosis. Some qualities are more enduring to some than others. So before we go passing judgement about what annoys us about the opposite sex, we should take a long hard look at our behaviours.

I am annoyed by their lack of emotional maturity. It seems like the majority of men while in an argument either shut down and need to "process" or they get very defensive and angry. I have yet to meet a man who is mature enough to handle situations that call for serious conversation without resorting to one of the two behaviors. I wish that men could grow up. I really dislike that men HAVE to check out every woman that walks by. We know that we are attractive and we don't need men undressing us with their eyes. For this reason, no man is completely faithful to the woman his wife or girlfriend. Sorry, I felt the negative was more truthful.

The one big pet peeve I have with men: Those men who are in public places and decide to have a good old scratch on their testicles.

What do I like about men in general? Those who are true gentlemen. The ones who hold doors open for you and will stand so you can sit. (I'm lucky, I married one of these).

I GET INTO BAD RELATIONSHIP OVER WHAT SOME OTHER MAN DID TO SOME WOMAN AND I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT BUT THEY CAN'T LET GO AND MOVE ON, THEY GET ALL MESSED UP ON DOES AND DON'T CAUSE SOMEBODY EITHER HURT THEM ONCE OR THEY GOT SOME ONE ELSE IDEA THAT THIS IS THE WAY TO HANDLE SOMETHING THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT~ISSUES ALL THE ISSUES IN THE WORLD COME FLYING OUT ALL AT ONCE AND IF YOU CAN'T GIVE EVERY ANSWER A GOOD SOLUTION THEN THEY MIX IT ALL UP AND REARRANGE THE THINGS U SAID SO U EVEN HAVE TROUBLES THAT WERE SOMEBODY ELSE'S AND NOW YOUR SCREWED BECAUSE U ANSWERED SOMETHING U KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WRONG TOO~ALL THIS CAN HAPPEN IN LESS THAN A HEART BEAT AND YOUR A DEAD MAN, GO FIGURE??

I'm not sure this is a man thing or a society thing. I hate that men plaing sports get paid so much money. Yet teachers, police,and fire fighters are not paid their worth. If we keep it positive men in general are pretty cool beings.

I hate the ones that have a really elitist view of life, and think that their view is the only one that counts. I hate ones that are really closed-minded on the topics of things like immigration, sexual orientation, abortion, etc.

I like when I find a guy that I can relate to, and we're almost equals. Just a hang-out buddy, I guess.

That aggressive point scoring thing they do. You know the one: where they think they're so intelligent they should benevolently improve all of our lives by turning the simplest of conversations into a theoretical debate. I don't care what you think of this DJ or this designer or whether she/he has any INTRINSIC value REALLY, and I don't need you to help guide me towards the 'right' conclusion, thanks very much.
Note: I find that only men of average intelligence do this. Any boyfriend I've had who had a Phd or was gifted in any way do not behave in this manner.

Chewing food with their mouths open.. any kind of bad table manners
Bad language.. using 4-letters words in all their sentences..
I thank the Lord I have no one in my home or family that talks this way or behaves like the above, or I would have gone nuts.

I'm tied between men not understanding why I cry during sad movies- and why I eep watching the same movies.
and leaving the damn toliet seat up!
its simple, put it back down before you leave. trust me yous are capable of doing so
