i cannot figure out the answer to this question. the possible answers are as follows:
1- UCR;CR
2- CS;UCR
3- UCS;UCR

Think of Pavlov and his dog. The dog sees food (UCS) and salivates (UCR). Pavlov pairs a bell (CS) with the food (UCS), so that eventually when the dog hears the bell, it salivates (CR). To undo this conditioning, Pavlov then starts ringing the bell, without providing food. The dog eventually gives up on the idea that the bell means food. So, extinction occurs when the bell (CS) is no longer paired with the food (UCS). #4
