I love fantasy books and I have a hard time finding new ones. My favorite ones are:

Lord of the Rings
His Dark Materials
Uglies/Pretties/Specials by Scott Westerfield
Artemis Fowl
Twilight
Eragon and Eldest

I'm sure I would like any books similar to these. Thanks.

Read the Chronicles of Narnia - I read these as a child and I read them again as an adult - the whole series is very enjoyable.

I read Uglies and His Dark Materials and loved them. But my favorite books of all time are in the Chanters of Tremaris Trilogy. The Singer of All Songs, The Waterless Sea, and The Tenth Power. They are such good books. I've read them each at least three times. Madness or Magic and Magic Lessons are pretty good books too, but the third book in the trilogy isn't going to come out for a few months. There's also the Winding Circle books about these four kids in an Academy for magic. They're pretty cool. There are four of them, then another group of four books that comes after. I haven't read the second four yet.

This may not be what you are looking for but I highly suggest the series because it is absolutely wonderful. It's the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamtilon. It has a little fantasy in that things like vampires and were-animals are real and citizens in the world. It has mystery, intrigue, a little bit of romance at times because the man character is a woman, Anita Blake. I highly recommended. The first book is Guilty Pleasures if you are interested. I like the books you have listed, and I like this series as well, so maybe it's what you're looking for.

Green Rider by Kristen Britain
It's about a girl who gets in trouble at school for dueling, so she runs away. On her way to her father's home, she finds a dying messenger who asks her to deliver his message to the king. On her way to the king, she discovers a magical gift, is chased by people who are after the message, meets some interesting people, and has several narrow escapes.
This is an exciting fantasy adventure story and I highly recommend it. There's a sequel called First Rider's Call and a third book is on the way.
