Why would you want to do that?? You risk infection and possibly kill your baby.

You should never break your own water if it doesn't break your doctor will break it he had to mine for my first child but not my second. If you want to know it was a instrument that looked like a knitting needle but being that your not a professional you could injure the baby so leave it alone.

Why would you want to? that isn't something that anyone does. If anyone does it is the Dr. under circumstances that are controlled like being in a maternity room of a Hospital! Why would you want to do it yourself....get to the hospital if you are having labor or to the Dr. if you are way overdue or whatever you need to do that is right. I wish you luck and hope tha baby is fine and you have an easy delivery.

The only way you can unintentionally do that is by having an accident by falling or something. You definately do not want to try to break your water on your own. YOU CAN SERIOUSLY HURT YOUR BABY!
Quick Question: Why do all the people who wrote that the baby can be hurt if she tries to break her own water have thumbs down?

I agree breaking your water could cause damage. A doc should do it.

Sex is the only thing I can think of off hand! But remember, that will only break your water if your baby is ready to come into this world!

I know this may sound nasty but you take garlic smash it and boil it! My sisters both did it 'cuz both my neice and nephew didn't want to come, it starts your contractions and eventually your water will break! But, once the contractions start get your butt to the hospital!

Even if it seems like you will be with child for ever you won't. Just be patient and it will all happen as it should. If you are at a point that you can't take it.( I know it can be stressfull) call the doc. they can induce if it's that bad. good luck hope it happens soon

in only 10-15% of pregnancies does the water break--for everyone else the doctor does it in the delivery room.

you cant break it, it will break on its own when the baby is ready to come out, let nature take its own course.

you can't but sex can put you into labor there are also alot of methods that can put you into labor if that is what you want to start....all safe all natural ways... good luck
