Imran Khan of Pakistan. Some of the characteristics of his game: a true fighter, best user of resources at his disposal, always led his team from the front, never believed in surrendering till the last ball, was truly rewarded for his efforts a number of times when he managed to save his team from certain defeat the biggest example being the win at World Cup when his 'cornered tigers', who in the initial stages weren't expected even to make it to the Semis, managed a spectacular win.
There might be some more successful captains on records, but Imran was simply incomparable.
