Given the fact that Arsenal had such young players they played amazing.

9 of the 16 selected for the squad are born 1987 or later. Youngest born 1990 which means he is turning 17 this year. The average age of the starting midfield was 18, two 17 and two 19 years old.

Poor old man gerrard didn't stand a chance.

It's unbelievable that Arsenal is able to get 6 pass Liverpool at Anfield. Arsenal are hungrier than Liverpool in trying to win the Carling Cup, and their "reserve" team players are trying to prove to Arsene that they should be in the first team squad. Furthermore, it exposes the problems with Liverpool's defences. Liverpool may be strong in attack, but their problems lie in their defence. Unless they can get their defence right, they will always lose to a team with excellent attacking force. Furthermore, Arsenal has the psychological edge over Liverpool as the Gunners beat them in the FA Cup 4 days ago.

Very good, I think. For a side who got a decisive player at an earlt stage of the game and who played Everton. But I think they got the revenge spirit after Silva got sent off.

Liverpool were the better team but the Gooners were so sharp that whenever they got a chance, they made it count.A certain Polish goalie may be looking at the house prices in Warsaw from now on.

Unfortunately I work evenings so I couldn't see it. Looked like Baptista finally started playing. Four friggin' goals. They must have been awesome. I work with a father and son that love Liverpool. I'm sure they will cuss me tomorrow. Go Gooners.

baptista took his chances well and aliadiere proved a pretty good playmaker, but my great grandma would have run rings around liverpool's defence tonight, cardboard cutouts would have done a better job.
