As an employer, I never tell anyone they have the job until I interview all the applicants that are interesting. I always call back all the people I interview to tell them if they were hired or not. So, the answer is..they haven't decided yet who gets the job.

It depends on the interviewer. If you are really interested in the company and position follow up with them via e-mail or letter letting them know you appreciate the interview and are very interested in working for the company. It usually takes a company about a week or so to go through the first round of interviews and determine which candidates they want to consider further for a second round of interviews.
In the meantime I would continue to send out resumes and keep your options open. Don't count on one job until they call you and make an offer to you. Wouldn't it be nice to have a choice between two jobs rather than just taking one?
Good Luck!

They are interviewing other candidates and checking your work and references out. Sometimes, they will call people back for an second interview. They will either let you by phone, mail, or an email. But, if, you didnt get the job, you will get an email saying that the position has been filled or we chose a stronger candidate. Good luck and I hope you get the job!

No, it simply means the interview process is not finished. Once all of the candidates are interviewed, each will be called with the results.

You may also look out for an option to work online to make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit

I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)

not really, u may get the job
your best bet is to keep checkin on the job
and give the interviewer a list of references and phone numbers of high society folks in your area.

That's usually what it means. Not all the time. But every time someone has told me this, that's generally what happened. If you really want to know, call the person three or four days later. They should know by then.

No, it means she wants to check your references and talk to everyone else to make sure she's choosing the right person.
