I am thinking about forming another LLC. Do I need to obtain another EIN number? What should I do about the EIN number I have now and never used?

Call the irs and tell them to kill the first one and issue a new one. As it has a new identity you need a new ein. Takes 5 minutes on the phone.

Cancel your current EIN number and get a new one. Otherwise the old one will remain in the system and the IRS (and possibly the State too) will haunt you forever.
