Because he needs more time to make them better... Its not going to be an over night change. They have been terrible for yeras. Its going to be years before he can fix them. He is a great coach...

There's a number of reasons. Simplest is this, who would they hire? There is nobody available this year that they could be sure would be a noticeable improvement. Also, not everything that happened this year was his fault. Why not give him another chance if there is no easy improvement to be made. Now next year if there is no improvement, things may well change, especially if Cowher is available.

i don't really think this is the case but my dad and i are steelers fans, and my dad seems to think that the browns are gonna keep crennel around for another year then reach deep in their pockets and pay whatever it's gonna take to get bill cowher over there...........anyway, we'll see how it plays out, but it is possible

Crennel isn't the problem - he doesn't have a good crop of players to work with. Phil Savage (the GM) is the one who needs to go.

I agree with the above post, they are holding out for Cowher and since he played ball there it isn't that far fetched of an idea.

i think of he would desire to be fired after the season ends. The Browns have long previous with the aid of turbulent situations with Crennel as their head coach, and that they at the instant are not appearing like final 365 days.
